1) If you are becoming a MULTILIT Registered Practitioner, compulsory accreditation training is included in your first year of registration. Training is essential to ensure correct delivery of the program to your clients.
2) The accreditation course is also open to teachers who would like a more detailed understanding of the program.
3) Accreditation is only currently offered in Sydney. When there is demand, we will roll it out to other cities. The accreditation involves attendance at three days of training. The first day covers the same content as the one-day professional training workshop offered to teachers.
In addition to the context covered in the workshop, accreditation training will also include:
- a more detailed discussion on the research base and background to the MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program
- effective delivery of the program
- monitoring and data collection
- additional strategies
- opportunity for more guided practice of the strategies employed in the program
The accreditation training will end with an assessment of skills learnt in the preceding three days. On successful completion of this assessment, a certificate of accreditation will be sent.
