MultiLit has a broad range of products and services that reflect a contemporary approach to best practice literacy instruction as identified by international reading scientists.

 

Our Programs

PreLit Program

PreLit is an emergent literacy skills program for children in the year before they start formal schooling. It is designed to complement a play-based learning environment and is suitable for whole classes, small groups or individual children.

Suitable for: all children in the year before formal schooling.

For use by: preschool teachers, child care centre staff, teachers and parents.

 

MiniLit Program

MiniLit is an evidence-based effective early literacy intervention program for struggling young readers (bottom 25% of students). This school-based program for small groups of up to four students per group.

Suitable for: Year 1, may be appropriate for “at risk” Kindergarten, and some struggling Year 2 students

For use by: Schools and the MultiLit Reading Centre

 

Reading Tutor Program (RTP)

Caters for students who have not acquired the basic skills needed to become functional readers and covers Word Attack Skills, Sight Words, and Reinforced Reading.

Suitable for: Year 2 through to 1st half of Year 8, Adults and EFL/ESL

For use by: Schools and the MultiLit Reading Centre

 

Word Attack Skills Extension Program (WAS-Ex)

Will be of benefit to any older student who is experiencing on-going reading difficulties after mastering basic early reading skills, and is also a follow-on program from the Word Attack Extension component of the RTP.

Suitable for: 2nd half of Year 3 through to Year 12, Adults and EFL/ESL

For use by: Schools and the MultiLit Reading Centre

 

Reinforced Reading Program

One of the single most important things we can do to help low-progress readers is to hear them read every day, for a little as 15-20 minutes. This program shows you how.

Suitable for: 1st half of Year 1 through to Year 12, Adults

For use by: Schools and parents to support their children at home

 

Parents

Parents who are looking for intensive tuition for their children have a range of options provided by the MultiLit Reading Centres. There are both face-to-face as well as some online programs. Options include Individual Programs (2 to 4 sessions per week), Intensive Group Program, and a range Partnership Programs (a mix of Reading Centre session and at home sessions).

 

Schools and Teachers

Schools and teachers can access our programs through acquiring classroom materials (Starter Kits) and Professional Development Workshop that guide the users of our programs to get be best results possible. Many schools opt for a tailor made PD Workshop just for them, and post implementation consultancies are also available to see how well the programs are working for you.
